A set of five Rjaska (Lemna) candles. The pattern of dots on the candles resembles the arrangement of tiny perennial aquatic plants, usually floating in large numbers on the surface of still waters. This pattern is irregular and discontinuous, with a small group trying to join a larger one but not yet reaching it. You can wave your hand and nudge them together.
• Svetlica candles are crafted from natural beeswax sourced from local independent beekeepers. The wax is often manually purified, which means that small dark specks may appear in the candles. These are natural particles that remained in the wax during the transformation of plant nectar into beeswax.
• Each candle is handmade without the use of molds, following the centuries-old technique of poured candles. This makes every candle slightly unique, with subtle differences in shape, weight, and the character of its dot pattern.
